Dr. Kris Hasstedt
Dr. Hasstedt was born and raised in Ames, Iowa, and completed his undergraduate education at Iowa State University. He attended dental school at the University of Iowa before completing a general practice residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska where he developed a passion for oral surgery. Dr. Hasstedt then continued his education at the University of Minnesota where he completed his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency program and was named Chief Resident in his final year. After two years in private practice, Dr. Hasstedt completed a Facial Cosmetic Surgery fellowship at Georgia Oral & Facial Surgery in Atlanta, GA, which is accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Hasstedt is double board certified by the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery as well as the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery.
Outside of work, Dr. Hasstedt enjoys spending time outdoors with his black lab, cheering on the Iowa State Cyclones, and being with friends and family

Dr. Kelsey LaPorte
Dr. Kelsey LaPorte was an undergrad at University of Nebraska, Lincoln. She attended Dental School at the Creighton University Dental School. After dental school, Dr. LaPorte went into the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She attended medical school while at the Nebraska Medical Center where she received her Doctor of Medicine.
After medical school, Dr. LaPorte was then appointed as Chief Resident in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Division at the Nebraska Medical Center. She is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons.
In addition to her academic accomplishments, Dr. LaPorte enjoys spending time with her husband Kevin and their son. She loves music, cooking, hiking, and being in nature.

Dr. Otto Slater
Dr. Otto Slater loves spending time with his wife Kim, and his daughters, Nikki and Sam and his dog, Goose. You will find them often at the beach together. He enjoys golf, boating, fishing, cycling and auto racing. He was an undergrad at Purdue University and still follows Purdue athletics. He attended Dental School at the University of Tennessee and trained in residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and has staff privileges at the University of Tennessee Medical Center, Knoxville.

Dr. Daniel Read
Dr. Daniel Read has been practicing in the Knoxville area since 1997. He attended University of Milwaukee, Emory University and the University of Florida College of Dentistry. After dental school, he entered the Air Force where he toured in Korea, Germany and back to the states at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma. Upon leaving the air force, he completed his oral & maxillofacial surgery training at the University of Florida Health & Science Center in Jacksonville, FL.Â
He and his wife, Chris Testerman, have triplets, John, Rick, and Madison along with a rescue dog named Tally. His hobbies include fishing, hunting, tennis, skiing, hiking, boating, biking and most importantly spending time with his family.Â

Dr. Baxter Jones
Dr. Baxter Jones was born and raised Waynesboro, GA and completed his undergraduate education and MBA at Mercer University in Macon, GA. He attended dental school at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, in Ann Arbor, MI. He completed internships in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta, GA and Carle Foundation Hospital at University of Illinois in Champaign- Urbana, IL. He went on to complete his residency training in at Carle Foundation Hospital.
He met his wife, Ginny, a native of Winchester, TN, in college and they have four wonderful children. Aside from spending time with his family and their dog, Leo, Dr. Jones loves spending time golfing, fishing, hunting, coaching, watching college sports and tinkering around the house.
